I am a quality over quantity kind of guy but I do sometimes get a little followers envy. Who doesn't want to have a huge 10,000 person fan base? But. I know if you're selective about who you choose to follow, things like porn and marketing wont find there way into your stream.

As far as the singles bar scene, as a happily married male observer, I think the feeding frenzy happens anywhere men and women congregate. It is just a fact of life and can't be avoided. I would hope the men are polite and respectful.

great writing, and i loved reading it!! twitter is a great use of social networking. They took out all the fluff of myspace and deep details of facebook and there you have it... 140 of whatever you want to express, speak of, cry about, whatever!!! i love it!! Oh and the porn jeez, every day i have a new friend request from someone wanting to follow me and their last tweet is says "click the link for great pics of me" uh yeah BLOCK!!!

My question is now that they have made all of the social networking simple and less.. then what's next? this well evolve but to what?

So many things I want to say when reading this....I also love the energy of Twitter because when you have a good core following, it's easy to adapt "associations" with great people!

I didn't really deal with the porn until I opened my page up, but I go or quality over quantity of followers, so I take pride in knowing the majority of the people that follow me.

A powerful poem and I thank you for allowing me to revisit it again. I know their is an individual on myspace who had shared it with me last year (My Black America) and it came to me at a time I needed to hear it. I wear my MASK of a smile everyday even the days I don't feel like smiling. Like you, I see the ABW and I get worried of that stereotype so I try to be sweet and sincere which I actually am but sometimes some people get on your last nerves and you may go off at times which is out of character for me but you know if I have to vent I have to vent.

Yeah... you finally joined me on the bike trail. It's the BEST way to get around isn't it? When you come back to DC we'll rent you a bike and do the Crescent Trail from G-Town to Bethesda. It's an AMAZING ride... not quite the beach in Cali but it's beautiful and it's a heck of a ride. In the words of my boy Katt Williams "keep it popping" or should I say... keep it "peddling".
