I think people should have to read an etiquette handbook before joining any social networks. The things people are willing to say on Facebook almost defy logic. Recently, a friend from High School (who I haven't seen in more than 20 years) (don't do the math) was browsing through my pictures. I accept responsibility for not restricting his access to my online life but he's an adult with a wife and nearly adult children.
While driving home the other day, my iPhone chirped and at decided to take a look at the source of the chirp. It was a FB note from my former school mate with a message about commenting on the "deliciousness" of myself and another woman photographed with me. WRONG!!! I'm certain this same guy would not be so quick to openly comment to a woman he hasn't seen in 2 decades or about a woman he has NEVER met. Don't post your attraction to me (or anyone in my photographs) on my wall...it's cool that you think I'm still cute/hot and that I have cute/hot friends...but use TACT! And don't post stuff like that on my wall so that everyone can read it...don't make me restrict your access.
Note: Perhaps a developer with come up with a vitrual face slap to replace the Facebook virtual "poke"!
